From the deepest waters of Great Slave Lake, traditionally known to our Dene peoples as Tucho - I've hand cast both Whitefish and Jackfish vertebrae in sterling silver and steel beads that catch and reflect light beautifully in all of the organic crevices and high points.  The word "offerings" is important in this collection as I've come to learn that the more quiet time I spent at the lake reflecting and tidying the shore...the more Tucho returns to me in the way of stones, vertebrae, driftwood, bark and occasional glass.  Mahsi Tucho.
