As an artist my place of greatest inspiration is along the beaches of Tucho (our Dene peoples' traditional name for Great Slave Lake - meaning "big water"). For years I've beach combed for treasure and cleaned the shoreline in gratitude for the gifts. For years I've also experimented with the sand and recycled glass to create my "sandglass".
After thinking about creating a collection of functional and art sandglass pieces, I was nudged forward by a request to put together an employee recognition selection for a customer...the results are growing into the Tucho Wares collection.
